Beach Me

I went to the coast this weekend for my 1st summer camping trip of 2021. Summer is go-time, stacked with multiple monthly & weekly markets- so it's difficult to find 2-3 day weekends free, but we'd had plans for this weekend since March!

We have the sweetest tent trailer that's cozy as all get out. Jasper dog has his own large section & wool blanket even, & we sleep cozily across from him on stacks of soft foam like the princess & the pea (without the lumpy pea).
Each morning is a delight; waking up beneath the trees, their sweet smell permeating the air. Our tradition is to make coffee on the camping burner, sit a the little table, read a National Geographic or Harper's Magazine together, & just enjoy the moment.

Every now & again I won't have phone service which is a blessing in disguise. Having no way to connect to the grid is the best way for me to shelf my business for some hours & be totally present. If not, I wind up doing work for this here jewelry company in fits & spurts throughout the day. Luckily I adore my job, though it's fair to say that my dedication is also somewhat compulsory. I wonder how many other entrepreneurs can relate to this. Boundaries? Sounds nice!

I always manage to get some photos out in nature & this time was no different. You'll no doubt bare witness to their slow trickling out.  Each hike & camping trip is forever remembered through looking at the pieces I brought with me, as I can recall where I hung them & what was around them in said setting.

I'm not a dogmatic person but I can say with confidence that energy transfers. As well as the love & undeniable style (wink wink) that I put into the making & look of each piece- there's an energy of somewhere beautiful that it's been to.
Isn't that a nice bonus?

Last week I was able to acquire a handful of new, ethically sourced Mexican Fire Opals; perhaps you've noted how I'm been showing more of those lately?
I brought some finished necklaces & rings with me to have a longer shot at doing them justice in the sun, as they are all so stunning but equally difficult to capture on camera. But I did it, & along with the laughs around the warm fire, s'mores, friends, crashing waves & starry skies, having jewelry with me gives me a whole other creative outlet while being out of town; adding another layer of happiness to being free.
I hope you can feel it when you wear it too.
Can you feel it? Let me know!

Are you traveling with your jewelry too & wearing your pieces in cool places? I'd love to hear about it & always love to see your photos!
