Lost wax cast snakes! In choices of sterling silver & brass.

Made to be used as a shirt slide or bandana/ scarf slide. If you’ve got another creative idea for it I’d love to know!

I hand carved the original from a block of wax (every step took so long!!!), then cast it with sterling as a master copy, made a mold of that, then squirted hot wax into the cast over & over & over (etc), then created a wax tree with them, cast the trees over & over, removed as much investment off the tree, sawed them off the tree, filed & ground off the sharp sprue, polished the snakes with multiple different wheel grits, washed them in warm soapy water to remove oils to patina them & have them turn black, washed them in baking soda to neutralize them, used steel wool to take the top black off so the carved parts only show the darkness, & then polished them to shine!!
